“More than 30 years experience with children, adults, families and groups have given me deep appreciation for struggle and vulnerability as well as healing and joy. I am wholeheartedly dedicated to exploring meaningful changes with you.”
Therapy is an exciting and challenging opportunity for change, a way to gain new perspectives, develop inner and outer strength, and relieve suffering.
At heart, therapy involves deep listening, trust and courage. As your therapist, I offer compassionate support, being mindful of what is unique about you and your situation.
Using evidence-based practices, I focus on your moment-to-moment experience in therapy while keeping in mind your desired outcome. I respect the roots of how you view yourself as well as your place and your role in your environment.
Your motivation for therapy may be a desire for clarity about your emotions, your thoughts, your behavior or your relationships.
We can co-create manageable steps to address issues such as:
- Family transitions, such as birth of a child or children leaving home
- Life transitions, such as new job or moving
- Anxiety, phobias, worry, obsessions, hoarding
- Grief and loss of close relationships (marriage, a partner, a parent, a child)
- Depression, despair
- Illness–acute, chronic or life-threatening
All of these situations can cause overwhelming emotions where it seems that we are not able to function as we wish we could. An experienced professional can help – offering a safe place to review your life choices, plan next steps and resolve personal issues.
